Kazatomprom discussed cooperation issues with the USA in nuclear energy.

The Nuclear Fuel Supply Forum was held in the capital of the USA, organized with the support of JSC "National Atomic Company "Kazatomprom" and taking place at the Nuclear Energy Institute - the leading industry organization in the US in the field of commercial nuclear energy policy and technology, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

The event was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the USA, Magzhan Ilyasov, and the Chief Commercial Officer of JSC "National Atomic Company "Kazatomprom", Vladislav Baiguzhin.

The forum was dedicated to discussing current issues and prospects for the development of the global nuclear fuel cycle, as well as ensuring the sustainability and reliability of supplies of this strategic raw material.

In his speech, the ambassador noted the high level of Kazakh-American relations, which this year marks the 35th anniversary of their establishment. He emphasized Kazakhstan's role as the world's largest producer of uranium, which accounts for about 40% of global primary production, as well as its significance as one of the main suppliers to the US market.

Additionally, within the framework of the forum, Vladislav Baiguzhin presented an overview of the company's current position in the global uranium market and outlined its long-term plans and development priorities.

More than 100 guests from the USA and other countries also participated in the forum, including representatives from key segments of the nuclear fuel cycle, US government agencies, and applied experts.
