“Rosatom” reported that it no longer plans to use Siemens solutions in its projects. As stated by the general director of the state corporation Alexey Likhachev, the company has already found alternatives among Russian manufacturers and partners from friendly countries to replace the necessary equipment and systems.
“We will not work with them. We have found replacements both within our country and in friendly countries,” Likhachev said.
At the same time, Likhachev spoke about the progress of Rosatom’s foreign projects. According to him, the physical launch of the seventh power unit of the Tianwan NPP in China is expected to take place this month — in May, and all work is proceeding on schedule. He noted that this is an important stage for the project, in which the Russian side is responsible not only for the supply of equipment and the startup of the nuclear island of the power unit, but also for fuel provision.
